Optician will be responsible for helping customers achieve the right type eyeglasses, lens shape or contacts lenses in accordance with their eyesight or eye conditions.
Duties include communicating with other eyecare professionals to receive prescriptions.
Provide customers with sample frames to fit their prescriptions and maintaining accurate customer data regarding their current or updated prescriptions.
Interpret the results of the examinations, using prescriptions written by Optometrists.
Advising patients on frame weights, materials, styles and colors.
Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit customer's needs.
Measure customers to determine suitable types and styles of frames.
Adjust frames to fit properly.
Prepare orders for glasses and contacts lenses by checking prescriptions and contact lenses have been processed properly.
