General Description
Hill Country MHDD Centers serves individuals with mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and early childhood disabilities in 19 counties in Central Texas. The Center serves over 9,700 individuals each year, has over 550 employees and has a budget of $40,000,000. The Board of Trustees is currently seeking applicants to fill the retiring Executive Director's position. Applicants should be prepared to address the following issues in their resume and/or the interview process: o Strategic foresight/vision o Demonstrated successful experience administering and managing a large and complex operating budget o Understanding of the immediate needs of the mental health, IDD, substance abuse and early childhood intervention service systems in Texas and ability to effectively implement programs to meet those needs o Communication skills with various audiences including negotiation and collaboration o Ability to use current technology and the data it creates o Strong leadership ability with conflict resolution skills o Knowledge of financial issues as they apply to community centers o Knowledge of the role of CEO with Board of Trustees o Ability to work effectively with other community resources, agencies, political entities o Ability to handle a variety of human relations issues involving staff, individuals, parents, providers, and the Board o Experience with recovery oriented programs o Experience managing through data o Experience implementing accountable care o Knowledge of state and national political process o Prior experience in working with legislators and state agencies

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, special education, social work, hospital/public administration, business, public health, medicine, or a comparable field.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred at least five (5) years of experience in upper management in Health and Human Services delivery system and at least three (3) years of experience in a community mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities facility.
Posting Dates
