Food Service Worker Supervisor

Responsibilities include leadership, instruction and direction of the Food Service Workers, supervision of the activities of the patient tray assembly line, cold food production, patient nourishment and tube feeding assembly, dish room, tray staging area, and tray and nourishment delivery to patients. On assigned shift, is responsible for food service to patients on regular and modified diets and approved outpatient programs. Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors and subordinates. Must have a thorough knowledge of diet therapy and the food service system. Must be able to evaluate a situation and make a rapid, accurate decision. Must be able to perform appropriately under pressure during an emergency. Must be able to interpret written and oral instructions for subordinate employees. Plans subordinate cyclic work schedules through distribution of daily schedules. Determines assignments that can be accomplished concurrently or those that must be delayed, based on available manpower, skill levels and material/equipment available. Duties include but are not limited to:
Planning Directing/Supervising Administration Completed work is evaluated through reports, inspections, conferences and overall performance of the food service section in meeting goals and quality standards. Works with Administrative Dietitian, Clinical Dietitian, Diet Office, and other service personnel to provide the best possible service to patients. Work Schedule:

Experience:
A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Physical Requirements:
The position requires performance of work which frequently involves moderate lifting, moving and carrying objects weighing 15-44 pounds. The incumbents are subject to continuous standing, walking, and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending (up 8 hours per day). May be required to transport, deliver, unload and store supplies. Reaching above shoulder, Use of Fingers, Both Legs and Both Hands are required. Hearing (aid permitted), correctable Near Vision (13 to 16 to Jaeger 1 to 4) and correctable Far Vision (20/40 in both eyes) and mental and emotional stability is required. Working Conditions:
Working conditions may be uncomfortable when exposed to high temperatures and noise when washing dishes and utensils. Food Service Workers are regularly exposed to hot liquids, sharp cutting blades, hot working surfaces, and may encounter extreme temperatures changes when entering walk-in refrigeration or freezer units or working near ovens. Must be alert and cautious to avoid falls on wet floors. Work is performed in a hospital setting and may involve some exposure to contagious diseases. Employees at this level are required to work under pressure of time deadlines and constant interruptions.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
