North Central, Shavano Park, Balcones Heights, South Bexar, Audie Murphy, Frank Tejeda, Kerrville, and Victoria. STVHCS serves one of the largest primary service areas in the nation and is part of the VA Heart of Texas Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 17). We are seeking a Registered Nurse who will provide nursing support throughout the Primary Care Clinics. The RN will consistently be able to fulfill the standards of Nursing Practice in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Nursing Service. The Licensed Vocational Nurse for the KMC PACT:
(Kerrville Texas) As an integral part of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) demonstrate sound techniques in complex nursing care procedures and basic care of the patient in the Primary Care Clinic setting. Provide nursing care in a self-directed manner with work completed with minimal review by the PACT RN, except when out of the LVN scope of practice and/or requires consultation. Administratively responsible to the Nurse Manager or designee for the quality and quantity of work performed on a daily basis, responsible and accountable for his/her individual practice. Accurately complete a focused patient intake on each patient and document appropriately. Possess excellent communication, teamwork/interpersonal, customer service skills. Expected to actively participate in staff meetings and/or workgroups, clean and prepare exam rooms, assist the physicians with procedures, close open encounters, recognize and appropriately respond to breakage/malfunction or loss of equipment. Participates in team huddles/team meetings with PACT team (RN, Primary Care provider) Perform EKGS, accuchecks, diabetic foot exams Reviews/scrubs appointment schedules to ensure labs completed prior PCP visit Participate in PACT committees Patient Education Women's health protocols Follow PC/PACT policies and Procedures. Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e. Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia. English Language Proficiency:

In addition to the basic requirements stated above, the following qualification criteria must be met for each grade. The candidate's qualifications must clearly demonstrate the level of competence required for the grade. GS-3. None beyond the basic requirements. (LVNs at this grade level are expected to perform all duties within the scope of their license; however, completed work may require routine or detailed higher level review depending upon the complexity of the duties involved. GS-4. Six months of qualifying experience as an LPN or LVN; or Graduation from an approved school and one year of experience that involved nursing care work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility that provided a practical knowledge of human body structure and sterile techniques and procedures; or Graduation from an approved school of at least 24 months duration.LVNs at the GS-4 grade level perform all duties expected of employees at the GS-3 grade level; however, they are expected to exercise greater judgment, require less supervision, and to operate in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and techniques. GS-5. Completion of at least 1 year of qualifying experience at the GS-4 level or equivalent. GS-6. Completion of at least 1 year of additional qualifying experience at the GS-5 level or equivalent, fully meeting all performance requirements for the GS-5 LPN/LVN. References:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
